Hi from Carol in New Mexico

I didn’t jump into the book publishing arena until late in life. It wasn’t that I didn’t have stories running through my head—that started in childhood. And it wasn’t that I didn’t write those stories down—just before I married, I threw away all the little romances I’d handwritten on frizzle-edged notebook paper and stashed away in a box all through high school. I threw away the childish stories, but the desire to create them never left. It just got sidelined when I fell in love with a handsome Christian man fresh out of the army. I set aside my own plans to go to nursing school to become a wife and mother, a decision I never regretted. We raised three daughters who blessed us with eight grandchildren and soon to be three great-grandchildren. But after fifty-eight years of happily-married life, my Prince Charming went to be with the Lord.

Life changed. The Lord nudged me to start writing again. This time for Him. Now, when I’m not writing, my time is taken up with church, Bible studies, caring for the backyard flowers, watching the visiting birds, one lone squirrel, and occasional foxes, raccoons, or road runners that pass through our urban neighborhood. There are also British detective shows to keep things lively.

I hope, however, that over the years I’ve gained more wisdom than I had as a teenager and that my writing has changed. I desire, now, to write stories that touch the fabric of women’s lives with hope, grace, and faith, combined with clean romance women find satisfying. So, I thank you for dropping by my website. The women who inhabit my books are eager to share their lives with you—their joys, struggles, secrets, growing pains, and most of all their faith.
